Centipede: Atari Classic from 1980. The player controls a
gun that can only move in the bottom fifth of the screen using a
track ball. The object is to shoot a centipede that works its way
down to the player area through a field of mushrooms. Other
attacking enemies are fleas, spiders, and scorpions.
Missile
Command:
Another Atari Classic from 1980. This is the original missile
defense game! Using three atomic missile launching bases you defend
your cities against incoming missiles. Enemy missiles may separate
into several missiles so shoot them down early because you only have
a limited number of missiles in each launch base.
Milipede:
The sequel to Centipede by Atari in 1982. You must defend yourself
from hordes of larger-than-life insects. The bugs keep coming -- all
kinds -- and the challenge continues while the intensity increases.
Armed only with a bow and arrows, you, as the "Archer", must fire
through through a garden of enormous mushrooms to hit the giant
millipede who steadily crawls down toward you.
