In The Hunt: A furious two-player submarine-based shoot-em-up with varying levels and the typical end-of-level bosses. Various power-ups can be collected throughout the game to help you. Unique 2D graphics for this era. The game is mostly a horizontal-scroller with one of the six levels being vertical and feature large, colorful enemies.

Gun Force: Another fun, fast paced two-player co-op horizontal scroller. Players must shoot enemy soldiers, jeeps, and helicopters to battle their way through. Players can pick up different weapons and must destroy the end-level building boss. Excellent co-op play where you can pick up auto-cannon, bazooka, flamer throwers and lasers. Climb into gun turrets, tanks, motorcycles, helicopters and use them against your opponents.

Altered Beast: You are a hero risen from the dead on a mission to rescue Zeus' daughter from the clutches of an evil magician. Horizontally scrolling beat 'em up. Collect power-ups and transform into different powerful beasts. Kill the flashing white wolves to reveal power-ups. As you collect more power-ups you gain more power and
muscles. Eventually you will transform into a different beast for each level These beasts are: a werewolf, a flying weredragon, a werebear, a weretiger and finally the Golden Werewolf. After the evil magician has been defeated on the fifth level, Zeus' daughter will appear as a bird and then change back to her normal self again.

Golden Axe: The player controls one of three characters in this horizontal-scrolling fighting game that features many different enemies and scenes. Each character uses a different kind of magic: Ax Battler, uses earth magic Tyris Flare, uses fire magic and Gilius Thunderhead, uses lightning magic. Mounted enemies riding dragons, etc. can be knocked off and the players themselves can then ride the creatures to help them on their quest. The object of the game is to find and destroy Death Adder in order to rescue the king and princess whom he had kidnapped.

Raiden 2: Famous vertical shoot em up. In the year 2090, Earth has suddenly become the target of deranged aliens. Following the invasion, a new cutting-edge weapon, the Raiden Supersonic Attack Fighter, based on a destroyed alien craft, is created for humanity's hope for survival. Raiden 2 adds the purple trace laser that seeks out the enemies.

Aero Fighters: Vertical shoot 'em up with eight stages and tons of power ups. The beginning stages consists of randomly chosen areas from nations of unselected fighters. After completing all rival nation stages, there are four more stages. Player and team-specific endings occur after completing the first loop. After completing the 2nd loop, the ending consists of all pilot pairs giving a speech, with the second pilot in the last pair giving a cheat code.

Soul Calibur: A one-on-one 3-D beat-em-up. Power-up by using a soul charge and batter your opponent into submission with various weapons or toss them out of the ring. The second game in the Soul game series. The game features an 8-way run system that allows a player character to run in and out of the screen to dodge and attack opponents. There is also a time release system for both characters and extra weapons and arenas in which to fight.

Tekken 3: A 3-D one-on-one fighting game. Choose from 18 fighters and try to become "The King of Iron Fist 3". Players use standard moves such as throws and special kicks to deplete their opponent's life bar. Experienced players can use techniques such as juggle combos. 19 years have passed since Heihachi Mishima killed Kazuya Mishima
and took back control of the Mishima Zaibatsu at "The King of Iron Fist Tournament 2". Players attempt to win the tournament and defeat Ogre. After defeating seven other fighters you move on to face Heihachi at the 8th stage, then Ogre himself on the final stage.

Double Dragon: Famous game that helped a video game resurgence in 1987 and kicked off a whole new era of "Beat 'em Ups". Marion has been taken away by the Black or Shadow Warriors and is being held hostage.When both players finally reach the end of the game, there is a one-on-one fight between the two to see who wins the girl. Players advance through four stages. You start in a street, move into a factory, through a jungle/forest then end up in a castle. There are a variety of moves such as back-kicks, elbows, head-butts, uppercuts, knee-ing in the face and throws. You can steal weapons from enemies such as knives, clubs, whips and dynamite among others and use them against any of the enemies

Ninja Gaiden: This is a two-player team effort game. The third button allows the ninja to grab onto to poles and swing-kick your opponent. Each Ninja has five techniques: the Triple Blow combo, the Flying Neck throw, the Hang Kick, the Phoenix back flip, and the Tight Rope technique. Players can throw their opponents into trash cans or phone booths to break the items and reveal a secret bonus inside. His mission is to fight his way through six U.S. cities and destroy the enemy.

Aliens: Fast paced game based upon the movie "Aliens". You and your partner go and shoot as many aliens as possible in this incredible side-scroller. The joystick controls the player movement while the buttons let you shoot from either a standing or crouched position. Fight end level bosses and pick up plenty of power ups along the way.

Cadillacs & Dinosaurs: "The past and future have collided in a world gone mad ..." This is a comic-strip style beat-em-up, set on the east coast in 2513, that stars four characters: Jack Tenrec, Mess O'Bradovich, the lovely Diplomat and Explorer Hannah Dundee and Mustapha Cairo. They all drive around in their Cadillacs battling against the Black Marketers and the occasional dinosaur. The game is played like another Capcom game called Final Fight. One object is to investigate the ruins of 20th Century New York, now buried under water after a massive earthquake. Another is to find out why so many dinosaurs are being captured, mangled, and used in strange genetic engineering projects.

Outrun: Sega's driving game that started it all. You drive a Ferrari Testarossa through various stages each with a checkpoint at the end of the stage that must be reached within the time limit. The player can choose which route to take through the game by deciding which way to go at the fork in the road. The driver also has a choice of three different theme songs to listen to while driving.

WWF Wrestlefest: Extremely fun 4 player game where the player can pick one of ten wrestlers including Hulk Hogan, The Ultimate Warrior, Earthquake, The Big Boss Man, Sergeant Slaughter, Jake "The Snake" Roberts, Mr.Perfect, "The Million Dollar Man" Ted DiBiase, The Demolition: Smash and Crush. Players move in and out of a wrestling ring performing different special moves on each other to drain opponents energy to get the 1-2-3 count. Players can also use foreign objects outside of the ring and perform special moves such as Jake "The Snake" Roberts' DDT and Hulk Hogan's leg drop.

Captain America & the Avengers: 4 player side-scrolling co-op fun. Become either Captain America, Iron Man, Vision, or Hawkeye and battle Red Skull and his henchmen in classic Marvel-comic style! "Avengers Assemble!" The object of the game is to defeat The Red Skull and crush his evil schemes. The game has five stages. The game ends when the fifth and final stage has been completed. Each player character has a different weapon or power that can be used throughout the game while fighting. Captain America uses his shield, Iron Man uses his repulsor rays, Vision uses his solar beam and Hawkeye uses his bow and arrows.

Street Fighter II: This is THE fighting game that revolutionized video games throughout the '90s. Choose one of eight warriors, each with his/her own strengths and weaknesses, and attempt to defeat the other fighters to become the world champion. Battle against computer-controlled opponents or another player. In a single-player game, after selecting one of eight fighters, you must defeat the other seven characters with your arsenal of regular and special moves. You must also defeat the four main bosses. In two-player mode, players compete between themselves.

Marvel vs Capcom: The Marvel Super Heroes and the Capcom characters go at it once again in the third installment of the Vs. series. Both team-up to defeat the notorious Onslaught. New characters have been added to this Vs. series. Players choose two characters to fight opponents in a tag-team style match. During a fight the player has the ability to switch between characters. A special character called a helper is also chosen to assist your character during a battle. Power levels are used to execute Super Moves, and are built up by attacking and defending against your opponent. This game also has the ability to control the two characters you have chosen simultaneously onscreen.

Marvel Super Heroes: A head-to-head street fighter type game between the classic characters from Marvel Comics. Each character has a list of special moves, plus super-powered infinity moves and infinity gems that increase the characters' abilities. Battle your way through and fight Dr. Doom and Thanos to gain control over all of the Infinity Gems. Each character has a special end sequence animation as a reward.
 
Street Fighter II Champion: This sequel to Street Fighter II - The World Warrior allows the player to choose "boss" fighters and is the first game in the series that allows players to compete using these characters. Choose one of twelve warriors, each with his/her own strengths and weaknesses, and attempt to defeat the other fighters to become the world champion. Battle against computer-controlled opponents or another player for some of the best VS fun a game has to offer!

Area51: The plot of this game is very simple. Aliens have invaded, and you and the other members of STAAR must defeat them. The game is becomes more challenging as you move through the stages, with enemies appearing over a pre-rendered background. The introduction of secret rooms helps replay value, as does competing for a higher score with a partner. Through the game you will go from the Hangars of Area 51, into the Labs and then into the mountain cave for a final showdown. During the trip, you shoot at the aliens, with your Light Gun, shoot power-ups to collect them, and shoot inanimate objects (windows, barrels, etc) to get bonus points and open secret rooms.

Maximum Force: The sequel to Area51 and a great target shooting game for one or two players that pits a task force against a terrorist group. Once again you and the other members of STAAR must defeat them. Choose from 1 of 3 different missions and find the secret bonus rooms. Through the game you will go from the docks to secret labs and finally the jungle for a final showdown. You shoot at the terrorists, with your Light Gun, shoot power-ups to collect them, and shoot inanimate objects to rack up bonus points and open secret rooms.

Final Fight: Classic "Beat 'em Up" that was inspired by Double Dragon. The game is set sometime during the 1990's in Metro City, a well known crime capital that has been ruled by violence and death for many years -- a fact which the newly-elected mayor and former Street Fighter plans to change. At the center of the problem is a huge gang know as Mad Gear. Mad Gear controls all the major criminal activities in the city. When they learned of Haggar's plan, they took immediate action to bring this new mayor under their control by kidnapping his daughter Jessica. However, when Haggar learns this, instead of sitting behind his desk and letting Mad Gear get away, he enlists the help of Jessica's boyfriend, Cody and his friend Guy to go on a rescue mission to track down the big boss of the gang, Belger, and rescue Jessica.

WWF Superstars: One of the best Tag team wrestling games featuring WWF personalities from around 1990. Each character can perform his own powerful "signature" wrestling move. Game play culminates in a title bout versus Andre The Giant and "The Million Dollar Man" Ted Debiase. WWF personalities: Hulk Hogan, Randy "Macho Man" Savage, Hacksaw Jim Duggan, The Ultimate Warrior, The Big Boss Man, The Honky Tonk Man, "The Million Dollar Man" Ted DiBiase and Andre The Giant. Each player can select any two out of six wrestlers for his or her tag team. A second player can either join player one's tag team or control the opposing team.

Sky Soldiers:  A great vertical-scrolling shoot-em-up classic. The player controls a plane flying over a different landscapes trying to stay alive as the enemies swarm in. Collect power-ups to upgrade your ship's speed, shot power and special weapons. Special weapon power selected at beginning of the each stage so plan your strategy well as you get to know this game. Fight through different time zones and locations, each with a large boss aircraft at the end.

Yie Ar Kung-Fu:  Released in 198 5 by Konomi this is a great 1 vs 1 fighting game that inspired many after it like Street Fighter. A martial artist armed only with his fists and feet attacks opponents with powerful limbs and/or weapons. Successful attacks deplete your opponents' life bars enabling your character to progress onwards in the martial arts tournament.

Both hand-to-hand and projectile attacks are employed by opponents and different martial arts styles are represented.
Combinations of buttons and joystick movements enable different types of attacks in jumping, crouching and standing positions.

Primal Rage: Incredible VS game, desperate, global head-to-head battle for survival featuring seven life-like digitized dinosaurs. Each of the seven characters has an arsenal of nearly seventy moves, including special and finishing moves. Each character has its own special ending sequence. It doesn't get any bigger than this!

Tekken Tag Tournament: Furious VS game play where characters from Tekken, Tekken 2 and Tekken 3 fight in a Tag Team Tournament. Players choose a team of two characters and then fight through the tournament. After defeating six other teams you fight your character-specific sub-bosses in the seventh stage and then the mysterious "Unknown" in the eighth stage.

ShadowDancer:  The sequel to Shinobi and classic release from Sega in 1989. A young Ninja named Hayate battles together with his faithful pet dog, Yamato. At the center of the city, a terrorist group known as the "Asian Dawn" is committing every imaginable atrocities known to man, including the planting of time bombs throughout the metropolis. Hayate and Yamato courageously set out to gather up all the explosive placed by the evil gang and annihilate the mastermind of the Asian Dawn.
 

Choplifter:  Sega classic from 1985. In this game you get to fly a helicopter on missions to rescue P.O.W.s. Four different levels featuring desert, sea, caves and city rescue. Avoid and shoot enemy jets, ships, tanks anti-aircraft fire. Digitized speech and catchy background music. POW's shout 'don't leave' if you fly off without them or scream when they're killed. The screen features some really nice side scrolling action with lots of color.

Centipede:  Atari Classic from 1980. The player controls a gun that can only move in the bottom fifth of the screen using a track ball. The object is to shoot a centipede that works its way down to the player area through a field of mushrooms. Other attacking enemies are fleas, spiders, and scorpions.

Missile Command:  Another Atari Classic from 1980. This is the original missile defense game! Using three atomic missile launching bases you defend your cities against incoming missiles. Enemy missiles may separate into several missiles so shoot them down early because you only have a limited number of missiles in each launch base.

Milipede:  The sequel to Centipede by Atari in 1982. You must defend yourself from hordes of larger-than-life insects. The bugs keep coming -- all kinds -- and the challenge continues while the intensity increases.
Armed only with a bow and arrows, you, as the "Archer", must fire through through a garden of enormous mushrooms to hit the giant millipede who steadily crawls down toward you.
